Russell C Lux – Managing Director
Russell is the founder and Chief Executive of LuxTech; since finishing University in Leeds he has been involved with several IT companies dealing with all aspects of IT for business including retail and distribution. He was the Chief Technical Officer In a wireless network start‐up called Wireless Access Network which set up the first broadband wireless network in the UK. Russell is a member of the British Computer Society, Institute of Directors and the Federation of Small Businesses.
Michael Garcia – Technical Director
Michael Garcia is a professional IT consultant, with over 10 years industry experience. After graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science at University of Leeds, Michael joined The Coleridge Press, a lithographic print house becoming IT Manager before taking a similar role at the Jewish Chronicle newspaper. Here Michael was responsible for bringing the traditional production processes into the modern age, introducing Computer to Plate technology in its relevant infancy – saving huge amounts of the overall production cost of the newspaper. Michael also implemented a business continuity plan in conjunction with the Special Branch of the police force and the City of London. Michael then became the projects director for Endemol Television’s on‐site productions – most notably working on the Big Brother series. It was here that Michael gained invaluable experience in building cost‐effective, large scale secure networks built with an emphasis on reliability and business continuity.
Michael is a Microsoft Certified Professional, with a Small Business Specialist Certification, and holds many other accreditations with various IT vendors. Michael is now the Technical Director of LuxTech, having been at the company since 2005. He runs a team of 11, successfully managing the networks of thousands of users.Andrew Curtis - Non Executive Director
Andy retired after 23 years with Accenture in June 2006. Andy retired as a Senior Partner in the London office of Accenture with responsibility for the Firm's relationship with retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury, Argos and John Lewis. He has specific expertise in the sale and delivery of large scale business transformation programmes with a significant technology content ‐ contract sizes were regularly in excess of £100m with the largest being a little less than £2bn. Andy is UK resident and lives in Hertfordshire and France with his wife and 2 daughters. Since retirement Andy has made several investments in small technology companies and sees these as an opportunity to pass on some experience, have some fun and to keep the old grey cells active. Making money whilst not necessary is always welcome but Andy is more than likely to take a longer view of his investments.
